OMG Post…. I wonder if anyone still checks this thing
So yea I have not updated in a crazy amount of time. Sometimes i think.. “why do i even have this thing?” usually when I just get home and are doing my daily site/blog checks. and I look at mine thinking for some reason it has changed. But then sometimes I will have spurts of updating where i am pretty regular at posting. Is it just that on occasion i get lazy and dont want to take the 5 min out of my day to let ppl know I am doing well? Or is it just that my days are that repetitive that there is nothing worth posting? Then I wonder if anyone actually cares to read this thing. I mean I check everyone elses i know at least every other day so i suppose this one could get checked just as often. Anyways while I poder these questions i could at least type what i came here to type.
Jennifer and I are now engaged. For those of you that didnt know I proposed to her last saturday night. How you may ask well ill tell you. I did it in FFXI. For a long while now we have been trying to get the formal FFXI wedding. However we have never managed to get picked. So we decided to make our own ceremony for Bones and Melpomne. I think now i am happier that we did. We were able to pick our own spot, have no rules set, and have our own agenda. During the ceremony we came up with a small story of how Bones and Melpomne met with a little bit of reality tossed in. After that we read our vows to each other that we came up with. However to the unknowing Jennifer my vow was actually a proposal. At the end of mine my char knelt down and I wrote “Will you marry me.” As she turned around to figure out what was going on I was holding the ring. Everything I had planed went perfectly… which usually does not happen. I took video of the ceremony so once i get that edited i will post it for everyone. But for now here is a picture one of the guests made for us. Our engagement will most likely be a long one. But I wanted her to have the comfort that i will be here when she gets back from college. Considering we are almost to year 6 now I dont think that will be much of a problem. On that note we will be moving Jennifer to Weatherford this weekend. having her be 3 hours away will be very diffrent for me. But I think it will be a good experience and It will even give me a chance to stop through norman on occasion.
Ok so if you happend to read my dads reply the ticket has been completly voided. It turns out that through a little investigation, that the signs were taken down a mere 10 hours before I got my ticket. Making the turn completly legal. Booya Catoosa. Nothing much else has been cooking. The new news is that I take my IA test tomorrow morning. I am pretty nervous and hope it goes well. I know the post is a little late with the info but i figure it will be a day or so before i post the results of the test. I have been studying most of the weekend and I am very ready just to get it overwith. The test consits of 50 multiple choice questions and I have to pass with a 70%. That means i can miss 15 for anyone that didnt want to figure it in their head =]. I will post the outcome as soon as I can/remember. I am gonna get some sleep now so if anyone sees this before 8am tomorrow wish me luck.. heh.
For anyone that may be unaware, the intersection of Admiral and 193rd in Catoosa does not allow right hand turns on a red light. Due to the cities amazing planning of building the biggest casino around on some of the smallest roads and intersections avaiable, they decided to use the pre-mentioned technique as a quick fix for the sudden growth in traffic. Not that they had any time to resolve this problem when the casino was being built. But then again I guess I could see why you would not anticipate the growth. I mean the casino and hotel were not built to attract people…… If you have not guessed yet I recieved an eighty dollar ticket there this evening after leaving my parents house. I cannot be too mad at the police though, the intersection is marked that the turn is illegal. And I do accept fault for missing the sign. Nevermind the fact that it was 8pm and there were only two people at the intersection. I understand that leniency is not to be expected for such situation. But I had to expect a little from this department do to the fact when 6 cars got broken into in my parents driveway they did absolutly nothing about it. As the distinguished police officer said “We know who is doing this but can never get enough evidence on them.” I suppose the large amount of fingerprints inside the cars and a pocket knife that was left behind would not be enough to go on. Other than that I found it humorous that he failed to mention or perhaps notice that my right tail light was out and that my Cptnmat tag was due last month.
On a lighter note now, work is going well and I may get to take a small trip tomorrow to OKC to turn in my application for my IA. After that I have only about one and a half weeks left to study and take the test. Per my deadline with Christiansen Aviation. That is all for now I am going to get some food and hit the books.
Saturday morning I got to have my first experiance in true “Off Roading” or “Wheeling” as the veterans call it. My friend Craig (An avid Jeep owner had planned this about a week ago so we did not let the snow get us down. It actually provided some nice scenery. We went to Chandler park where they have a bunch of great trails and obstacles for the Jeep to play on. We met a few other people out romping in the snow including a caravan of Jeeps which made Craig happy. I took some cool pictures and videos which i made a little movie out of. For lack of places to post them Ill just have to show them irl. Other than that the last week has been going well. I am getting used to my new job and feel much better there than at Quality. The studying has been slow, I am really going to have to pick it up a bit which is where I am off to now. Have a good one.
Today was Jennifer’s 23rd Birthday. I was very happy to have taken this time off before starting my new job. We went to the Zoo this morning to see us some of them there crazy animals. Jennifer especially wanted to see the Otters and meercats. The weather was perfect and we had an amazing time. After that we went to dinner with her Parents and Grandparents at Macaroni grill. It was tasty. Then over to her Grandparents for some cake and relaxing. I only have one more day before its back to a job. And a lot of it tomorrow will be givin to studying. So i think tonight will be some vegging out or possibly some ffxi.
Only two more days until Ill be putting Quality Aircraft behind me. I hate the “New Guy” title. But I think it will be worth it in the long run. I have heard rumors that Christansen will be moving its maintenance to a larger hangar soon. Right now all of the mechanics are kinda cramped together. My studying is going well. Its been a little rocky getting back into the swing of it.
I dont start at the new job till the 3rd of Feb. so this weekend I am going to get some work done on the car. I bought new headlights for it a couple weeks ago but have not had a chance to install them yet. Also I am going to remove the exhaust manifold and take it to a guy at Quality that has a machine shop. I believe the manifold is warped which would be why I can never get it to seal up well.
Jennifer took the PCAT agian this last weekend. She says that she felt more relaxed this time around but we will just have to wait for the results to see if she scored any better than last time. After our night in exciting Weatherford we made a stop my norman to see what was going on. I played some DoA4 with Token and he handed my ass to me. I will have to practice some more when the new XBox shows up. Damn you microsoft and your $400 paperweights. We got to see Erik, Max, Adam (for the 15 min he was awake =] ), and Joe as well. Hopefully I can get down there once more before work starts back up.
Gonna go get a little studying in before bed. Have a good one.
Have a happy Friday the 13th everyone! Well even though the 13th is known for its crazyness. My crazy day was the 11th. I put in my notice at Quality Aircraft. Permission was given at Christansen to higher me. /cheer. My last day at Quality is the 27 and i start at Christansen on Feb 3. Little vacation for me yaya… hoping I can make a trip to Norman sometime. I am a bit nervous but excited as well. They had one condition for my emplyment though. I have to get my Inspection Authorization. The “I.A.” is an addition to my A&P certificate explained here. It will be lots of studying which I have not been in the groove of for a while now. But this job will allow me to get back out in the field working on aircraft again. So we will see how that goes. Other than that Mr. James has mentioned the stuff we did to the house last weekend. Good times even though they will not be back to put the new floor down till next Tuesday. I have a few pics but do not have the knowledge to post them here. So maybe on a later post =] . Well enought of my rambling for now take it easy and have a good weekend.
Hey look a post. Just have a few minutes between my parents house and heading to my aunts. So I thought I would tell everyone to have a great Holiday.
Quite a bit has happed recently. So to begin I’ll start with Halloween. I do not know how many people had noticed the beard and long hair. Although it did not appear so my hair was the longest it has ever been just to prepare for this. We went a few places but she had to study so it was a kind of short lived costume. I did manage to take a few pics with my car which I have played with to try and get a 70’s feel to it. Back in time. Also there is a picture in that gallery of me w/o facial hair, showing why I dont keep it that way =].
I am getting more and more excited about moving. I have not really started to pack yet but its getting close. Along with moving homes. I am also going to be moving jobs. The past few months have started to really bring me down at work. The job is really repetitive, which would not be so bad if i didnt have to put up with all the little crap they keep tossing around there. It would take me a while to explain all of it but it feels like I am back in 2nd grade again. People always looking over your shoulder to make sure you are doing your job and not messing up. Simply there is no trust there. And ever since one of the guys that I did not really have good dealings with anyways became “Shop Supervisor” the ball of crap just got on a steeper decline. I have accepted a job at Christansen Aviation in Jenks. I will be doing the same thing that I did working at OSU, inspecting and repairing aircraft.
Lastly I found out that my mom is going to have open heart sugery. She has a bad valve from birth but here in the past few years it has really started to decline. And recently she has not been able to function as well. Mosty lack of oxygen to the body. She will have the sugery before the end of the year sometime soon but I am not quite sure when yet. The doctors say that this is a routine operation and everything should be fine. She has already taken long term dissability from her work and it will most likely take 6-8 weeks to fully recover. They say the worst part of the recovery is the breast bones healing back together. Ugggg..
Well thats the last month in a nutshell, I promise to start trying harder to attempt to update =]
But for now that is all.
